Folk Group Spring Festival

Terms and Conditions

  • Camping for the Folk Group Spring Festival is run under The Camping and Caravanning Club UK Club Site Policies, unless stated below otherwise. Refer to full policies at https://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/policies/uk-camping/club-sites/
  • Camping at the Folk Group Spring Festival is for Camping and Caravanning Club members only and a valid membership number is required when booking. Proof of current membership will be requested at the event when checking in.
  • Full payment is required when booking.
  • There must be a minimum of one adult (over 18) on each booking. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in all sessions and in the children’s room.
  • Under 18’s remain the responsibility of their parents or carers at all times.
  • We reserve the right to make alterations to the published event programme where necessary.
  • We welcome well behaved pets on site but in the interest of safety and comfort we ask that pets are kept on a lead of no more than 2m when outside.
  • With the exception of assistance dogs, pets are not allowed in any buildings.
  • For everybody’s comfort on site, pet owners are respectfully asked to ensure any
    mess is cleaned up and noise is kept to a minimum.
  • A 5 mph speed limit will be in operation at all times.
  • In the event of wet weather all vehicle movements on the field will be restricted. Please contact the Outside Steward before moving your vehicle.
  • We want all of our campers to have a pleasant stay and we don’t want to disturb local residents, that’s why we ask that there be no noise or movement of vehicles between 11pm and 7am.
  • Please do not cycle or ride scooters between the marked pitches (this includes children). Keep to the roadways and keep your speed down – remember that the speed limit applies to all movement and not just motor vehicles.
  • In line with Camping and Caravanning Club rules, no ball games will be allowed in the camping areas, and no kites or drones may be flown anywhere on site.
  • Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times so as not to disturb the enjoyment of others.
  • Open fires are not allowed, other than purpose made barbeques – all barbeques must be raised off the ground.
  • Failure to adhere to Terms and Conditions could result in entry refusal or ejection from the event without refund.

Ticket Pricing

  • You must be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to camp at this event.
  • The price for adult is £25 per night, with a maximum of £100 for all five nights. This covers a camping pitch and access to all workshops, sessions and dances.
  • Day visitors staying off-site pay a reduced adult price of £20 per day, with a maximum of £80 for all five days. This covers access to all workshops, sessions and dances. Day visitors do not have to be members of the Camping and Caravanning Club.
  • All children and youth under the age of 18 can camp and attend the Festival for free.
  • There may be a small additional charge for a few of the workshops to cover the cost of materials provided.

Arrivals and Departures

  • Pitches will be available from 2pm on Wednesday 16th April 2025. Please do not arrive before this time as you will not be able to enter the site.
  • No arrivals will be admitted without a confirmed booking.
  • Arrivals after 10.30pm may be parked in a holding area and pitched the following morning if it is not safe to pitch when you arrive. If you are likely to arrive after 8:00pm, please let us know in your booking or by calling the contact number so we know to expect you.
  • Pitches must be vacated by 12pm on Monday 21st April 2025

Pitching

  • For your safety, we operate a “six metre rule” which means that each unit (excluding guy ropes) should be a minimum of 6 metres apart from any adjacent units in order to protect against fire.
  • Your unit (along with any ancillary equipment) must fit within the confines of your pitch whilst maintaining the 6 metre rule.
  • All pitches will be 8m x 10m grass, unless you have been allocated a hard standing pitch. They wiil be large enough to accommodate one main camping unit (i.e. tent, trailer tent, caravan or motorhome, plus a car and an awning or pup-tent.
  • Pitches are allocated on arrival. If you want to camp with friends you must arrive together.
  • Limited toilet and shower facilities will be available to campers that don’t have their own sanitation facilities. If you have your own sanitation we request that you please use it.

Refunds & Cancellation

  • Cancellations due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g. illness, vehicle breakdown, etc.) will be refunded minus a charge of £10 per person to cover administration costs. Refunds for cancellation due to other circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Organisers – their decision is final.
  • The Folk Dance and Song Group reserves the right to cancel the event at any time should it be necessary. In this case the booking fee will be refunded minus a charge of £10 per person to cover administration costs and unrecoverable expenditure.

Liability

  • All persons attending the Folk Group Spring Festival do so at their own risk and no responsibility for persons or property is accepted by The Camping and Caravanning Club.
  • The Camping and Caravanning Club will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of the camper, including personal belongings, cash, jewellery and motor vehicles, however caused during their stay.
